RTA DRIVER
Position Summary:
A RTA driver is the first face many people see in the morning on their way to work. You will be the driving force from the outlying cities bringing workers into Nashville. We have several RTA routes carrying hundreds of commuters daily. RTA drivers provide the highest quality of service to the commuting customers and communities.

Position Summary:

We have several RTA routes carrying hundreds of commuters daily. RTA drivers provide the highest quality of service to the commuting customers and communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Clear speech and listening skills
- Ability to apply proper driving procedures
- Ability to learn transit routes and schedules and adapt to changes; ability to read a map
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, and routes
- Ability to assist handicapped passengers when needed
- Basic math and writing skills
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A good driving record and valid CDL License (Paid CDL Training Offered)
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- Dependable
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly Detail oriented
- Problem Solving
- Ability to function in fast paced/high volume working environment with flexibility
- Works well in a team environment essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to adapt to stressful situations
- Must be able to board and exit the bus and assist guests boarding and exiting the bus.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, climb stairs multiple times each day, and tolerate a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions.
Schedule:
- Full time, non-exempt.
- We are open 24/7 - 365 Days a year
- CDL School for non-CDL Holders (Full-Time Only.)
