Work Location: GOJO Wooster Campus-Wooster, OH

Beginning December 1, 2020, candidates hired for this role are eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus*, increased starting hourly wages, quarterly supply chain bonuses, health benefits, 401(k), and immediate vacation allowance. *Provided all requirements are met.

Role Objective

Performs quality inspections of components, per quality standards. Communicates quality issues to quality team, Process Technicians and others. Quarantines questionable parts. Operates measurement equipment “CMM/VMM”, understands and communicates measurement results.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Primary
  • Collects all components from molding machines as required, measures, assesses, and analyzes components for conformance.
  • Follows first off and last off process, fills out required tags and save samples.
  • Saves samples of non-conforming components for analyses and possible tool repair in mold room.
  • Complies with all quality procedures and inspection processes, logs all required information, relays information to quality team members on other shifts.
  • Operates all required equipment (e.g. CMM, VMM, caliper, GO/NOGO gauges, Magna-Mike) and analyzes measurement data.
  • Follows hold tag process when any components and/or completed pumps are non-conforming and/or in question.
  • Communicates with Production and Process Technicians if non-conforming components are identified.
  • Performs trouble shooting as required to solve automation issues on off-shifts.
  • Performs measurements on ETR components, logs and communicates issues identified.
General
  • Interacts with production team, guides material handlers in containing non-conforming components
  • Interacts with Process Technicians, communicates non-conforming issues identified.

  • Process Technician
  • Production teams, including Automation Technicians and Automation Operators
Education and Experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required
  • Operation of measuring equipment
  • Inspection experience
  • Exposure to ISO 9000 or other quality system
  • Experience with plastic injection molding
