Job Description

A Route Sales Person (RSP) is responsible for achieving high level results in a designated route area through selling, merchandising, promoting and distributing the product line. A RSP will work directly with our customers to increase store sales by executing promotions and aggressively pursuing new selling opportunities. This is a full-time position.

Key Job Responsibilities:

· Help drive brand growth with customers through increased sales and the acquisition of new space and displays.

· Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to initiate and maximize sales to ensure client retention by exceeding expectations with new and current customers.

· Investigate, create and follow through on all growth opportunities including soliciting new customers

· Merchandise to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when soliciting new customers.

· Responsible for taking and maintaining proper inventory counts and using a handheld device to record sales transaction

· Provide outstanding customer service. Build relationships, communicate openly, manage customer needs and proactively resolve concerns in cooperation with supervision.

· Handle and process customer payments. Keep route paperwork current

· Service customers in accordance with established service frequency.

· Drive company route truck safely; safely loads and unloads the truck, following all applicable laws and company policy. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular vehicle inspections.

Requirements:

Strong Customer Service background preferred.

  • Class C driver license with a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Ability to read, write and maintain cash flow integrity.
  • Bending, climbing stairs and other physical effort required daily.
  • This position involves frequent lifting up to 20 pounds and on occasion up to 40 pounds.
  • Previous sales experience a plus.
