Job Description

A rapidly growing hospitality/management company is looking for a Room Inspector for their Days Inn located in the Inner Harbor. Responsibilities

  • Assist with training and supervising the housekeeping staff.
  • Establish and implement operational procedures for the housekeeping department.
  • Assist with preparing work schedule for the housekeeping staff.
  • Attends daily shift meetings with all housekeeping associates.
  • Assists with coaching housekeeping team members to ensure that all policies, procedures, training, and standards are being maintained.
  • Coordinates the inspection of the assigned rooms and areas to ensure that health regulations, safety, and departmental policies are being met.
  • Daily walk-through of the hotel
  • Partners with management and maintenance staff to ensure that all Guest Room preventative maintenance opportunities are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct daily quality checks, remediation, and subsequent training for Housekeeping Staff
  • Maintain, organize, and control inventory of guest and housekeeping supplies and linen
  • Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned during peak periods or as requested by management.
  • Follow Choice Hotel's safe work habits and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospitality or service organization; prior exposure to customer service required.
  • Housekeeping experience required.
  • Experience in a Hotel setting preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport with guests
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's Degree or higher preferred.

Physical Requirement:

Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 100 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, or crouching.
