Sentara BelleHarbour Emergency Department, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a Flexi Status RN (Registered Nurse).

Position Overview

• Flexi Status: 24 hours within a 6 week schedule period

• Night Shift: May work any combination of hours in 4, 8, or 12 blocks of time (traditional start times)

• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience in one of the following areas

  • ED

  • Critical Care

  • Intensive Care

  • PACU

  • Med/Surg if prior experience as an ED Tech

The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

New Hire Education Requirement: All Registered Nurses who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to successfully obtain their BSN within 5 years of hire. BSN or MSN preferred. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Critical Care/IMCU/EP/Advanced Heart Failure Center/SMG Cardiology Practices- ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire.For designated Oncology units, Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire. Behavioral Health - De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
