Job Description
Summary
Responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of an assigned group of patients. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat the patient's responses to actual or potential health conditions. Assesses, monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with specific health problems and / or medical treatment.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent in Nursing - Required
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2017 - Required
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2016 - Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) License in State of Michigan - Required Upon Hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 Days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 Days
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 180 days for Lake Drive Ambulatory Surgery Center, South Pavilion Ambulatory Surgery Center
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in surgical setting preferred
