RN PACU: PRN ShiftsProvides direct and indirect patient care in the surgical setting. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in process improvement and PI activities.Assist physicians with procedures in the PACU. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the surgical setting. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of a school of Nursing. BSN is desirable.
Experience:
One (1) to two (2) years of recent surgical care experience preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Utah Registered Nurse License or RN Compact license (required).
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification available after hire.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (ACLS) and Certification preferred. Must obtain within 1 year from date of hire and then maintain certifications.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification preferred. Must obtain within 1 year from date of hire and then maintain certifications.
