Job Description
Overview: M Health Fairview is looking for a RN at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 56 hours per two weeks on the Eve shift, for 8 hour shifts, variable schedule, every other weekend rotation, and is eligible for benefits.

This is a 33 bed Heart Care unit with rapid turnaround for patients that stay on average for 2.5 days. Patients will discharge to Heart Clinic next door. Typical patients have observable chest pain, ruling out anything cardiac, stress tests, and if negative they send home. Most are stable unless more acute like congestive heart failure. This includes stroke patients, cardiac drips, and alcohol withdrawal. RNs will identify rhythms and determine next steps for patients.

- Holistic Nursing Theory
- Patient Education and Coordinating Care
- Blood draws and Lab draws
- Therapy plans and treatment
- Telemetry monitoring
- Accessing Ports, PICCs, and Feeding tubes
- Discharge planning
- Passing meds, checking vitals, reviewing labs
- Opportunity for obtaining certifications such as Med/Surg, Ortho, or Chemo cert.
- Basic Life Support Through Health Care Providers
- Degree in Nursing
- RN License
- Telemetry experience
- BSN degree
