Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.
Summary:
Provides clinical leadership and expertise in COVID19 illness. This position is accountable for assuring quality medical care for employees within the workplace. Assists with tracing and coordinates monitoring, disability and testing of exposed employees.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides clinical leadership and expertise in COVID 19 infection-prevention, disability, testing and tracing
2. Assesses, monitors and implements supportive nursing care, health counseling and education to patients related to COVID19 exposure
3. Assists with initial exposure tracing with the assistance of department managers and department team members. At the time of tracer, the RN will assess and document symptoms of active COVID19 illness, for those employees who are symptomatic
4. Conducts daily active monitoring, delegated supervision and case management phone calls to exposed healthcare workers. Communicates new disability as well as names of employees who are cleared to return to work to Human Resources, employee manager as well as staffing office, if applicable.
5. Administers the COVID19 Disabled Employee Log. Communicates positive results to Employee Health Services for OSHA recordkeeping documentation for all traced work-related exposures.
6. Communicates new disability and return to work to COVID19 Employee Exposure Department Secretary
7. Collaborates with department managers and/or Human Resources related to documented employee restrictions and disability
8. Communicates information to employees, including call-out procedures, Short Term Disability provider information for FMLA, COVID testing, support programs (i.e., EAP) and general Network policy information.
9. Coordinates referrals to employee primary care provider or Emergency Department, as needed for management of COVID19 symptoms
10 Provides feedback and support to staff answering employee hotline calls. Escalates concerns to the Team Lead

* Associate's Level Degree* Registered Nurse
Required: Three years hands-on nursing experience. Excellent customer service skills, good phone skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Demonstrates compassion while remaining objective.
Minimum Experience: three years
Desired: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, prior Employee Health experience preferred.

Work Type: PRN / PER DIEM
PRN will work up to 40hrs some weeks over a 3-6mos timeframe during COVID spike & needs, hours will fluctuate
