POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Supervisor (CS) assures continuity of quality patient care and optimal patient flow in the Department. The CS also assists with the integrity and proficiency of the staff.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 2 years RN experience in clinical area
  • 2 years college
  • Organizational and Prioritization Skills. Adheres to RN role as written in the Louisiana Board of Nursing and outlined in orientation specific to the department and facility.
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support/CPR, Registered Nurse

Preferred:

  • Supervisory/management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • BSN- 4 year college strongly preferred.
  • Training and development in supervision and business operations.

POSITION DUTIES:

  • Directs activities of the Patient Care Unit.
  • Participates in the day to day operations of the department, under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager, by assisting with the following:
  • Assures a safe environment of care at all times.
  • Participates in unit based and hospital wide performance improvement.
  • Performs all job standards related to the job description of the registered staff nurse.
