Job Description
Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Position coordinates the care of radiology patients throughout the continuum of care. Serves as a clinical resource in radiology to members of the department, patients and their families, and other health care providers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates patient appointments and admissions to the hospital.
- Acts as liaison by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families, and health team members. Explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources.
- Assists physician and provides support with interviews and examinations and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties including compliance with regulatory bodies and quality assurance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience.
- Working knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in developing, coordinating, and managing clinical research projects with working knowledge of database management, spreadsheet, and statistical analysis software.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
- REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act. Basic Life Support Certification, Level C, or obtains certification within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.
