We are seeking exceptional Risk and Patient Safety Coordinator to join our team at Central Campus!!
This position involves mitigating risk and protecting the health care organization, and providing a safe environment for its patients. The main focuses are reducing medical errors and improving patient safety.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Under the direction of the Director of Risk and Patient Safety Officer, this role will be crucial to the leadership team of the facility(s).
Ability to conduct event responses including intense analyses (Root Cause Analyses, Event Debriefings, etc.) Ability to interview hospital and medical staff when necessary. Ability to interface with all stakeholders in the healthcare delivery system, payer networks and patients/families. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word software. Experience with Midas and Cerner are desired.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant degree or RN
Clinical experience as an RN, Patient Care Tech, Therapist or other allied health professional
Preferred Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in healthcare related field
Strongly prefer two years experience in Risk Management in an acute care setting. Clinical background and familiar with medical and legal terminology.
