The Autoimmunity Institute brings together a world-class team of health care professionals focused on the entire spectrum of autoimmunity. We treat the common (i.e. rheumatoid arthritis) to the ultra-rare (i.e. relapsing polychondritis), as well as the many allied diseases that our patients face. The Autoimmunity Institute is a one-stop-shop, with 17 specialties collaborating under one roof to surround each patient with the support they need.
In addition to our expert team of doctors, nurses, and medical assistants, our Care Transformation Team of pharmacists, dieticians, social workers and behavioral health consultants participate in the multi-specialty teamwork called for by complex autoimmune conditions. This holistic approach addresses not only primary autoimmune disease manifestations, but also the secondary health effects that accompany them, such as anxiety, depression, fatigue, managing multiple medications, and the influence of diet and nutrition on health and disease.
Our on-site, full-time research team is advancing the current understanding of autoimmunity by exploring new ways to diagnose, treat, and monitor these conditions. The Autoimmunity Institute’s unprecedented model of integrated multidisciplinary care and research has been enthusiastically embraced by health care providers, national disease foundations, media, and most importantly, our patients.
