We are seeking an RFX Response Writer to respond to complex RFXs relating to the Agiloft product. The RFX Response Writer will: (1) gather information from existing RFXs, marketing collateral, product documentation, and technical experts within the company; (2) prepare a draft response and subsequent versions; (3) follow and steer the internal review process; and (4) submit the proposal and supporting documents to the sales rep assigned to the RFX.
The ideal candidate has:
- A strong technical background and understanding of business process management and enterprise software and security considerations
- Two or more years of experience responding to technical RFXs from large firms and government organizations, coupled with strong writing skills
- Solid time and project management skills to ensure the proposals are prepared, reviewed, and submitted with quality and on time
- Experience with proposals for contract management or service desk software (a plus)
NOTE: This is a remote, contract position.
Job Responsibilities
- Determine proposal requirements by identifying and clarifying objectives within the RFXs.
- Gather proposal information by identifying information, sources, and coordinating with key providers and other internal contributors for additional information, if needed
- Produce quality responses to RFXs by following proposal-writing standards, including readability, consistency, and tone.
- Obtain approvals (through reviews) and submit the completed proposal to the assigned sales rep.
- Establish priorities and target dates to ensure the proposals are submitted on time.
- Maintain records (within a SharePoint environment) of all proposals submitted and received.
- Gather and store feedback on proposals to help improve proposal content and process.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree
- Technical background and experience with enterprise software
- Two or more years of experience responding to technical RFXs
- Excellent writing, organizational, communication, and planning skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines efficiently
- Strong critical thinking ability
- Experience working in SharePoint
Beneficial Skills
- Ability to work independently and with a small team
- APMP certification (not required, but encouraged)
