Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Revenue Cycle Quality Initiatives Coordinator position is to provide project management functions applicable to the Harris Health System's Revenue Cycle as it relates to current and future quality-based payment impacts. The Revenue Cycle Quality Initiatives Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budgets. Duties will include coordinating the efforts of the Hospital Acquired Conditions/Potentially Preventable Complications steering committee with vendors, contractors, and/or consultants in addition to internal departments including, but not limited to Coding, IT, Quality, HIM, Decision Support, Systems Integration, Finance/Reporting, and CDI. The Project Manager will also define the projects¿ objectives and oversee quality control throughout the projects¿ life cycles.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees: Associates Degree required (Healthcare-related Bachelor's degree preferred)

License & Certifications: NAHQ CPHQ credential required within two years of employment

Work Experience: Two (2) years of coding education and/or coding or clinical experience required. Formal coding education and/or coding or clinical experience required. Experience with quality-based programs with revenue cycle-based impacts preferred (HAC, PPC, PSI, PPR, Readmission Reduction Program, etc.).

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing/Composing: Correspondence/Reports

Proficiencies: MS Word, MS Excel, P.C.
