JOB DESCRIPTION: PART-TIME SALES ASSOCIATE

POSITION TITLE: Part-Time Sales Associate

DEPARTMENT: Direct to Consumer-Outlet Stores

REPORTS TO: Store Manager

Experience: Retail preferred, but not mandatory.

Education: Must have the equivalent of high school diploma or GED.

Hours: 10-25 Hours per week average

Age: Must be 17 or older

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Under the direction of the Store Manager, work in a branded retail business that generates superior customer service and provides America’s best brands in intimate apparel. To connect with, provide optimal customer service, and sell to customers, enabling the store to achieve sales objectives. Customer Assistants may be involved in all of the activities of the store including sales, cashiering, merchandising, housekeeping, and stocking.

1. To convey a friendly "SERVICE FIRST" personable and engaged attitude to all customers at all times regardless of circumstances.

2. Acknowledge customers within the store and assist customers in making their selections. Offer bra fits.

3. Develop an in-depth product knowledge of merchandise sold in the store through use of product literature offered by the Company and by working with store management on a daily basis.

4. Operate the cash register in a courteous and professional manner, set forth in the Store Procedure
Manual.

5. Straighten merchandise in store daily and repackage any loose merchandise.

6. Keep store management informed of any problems which could cause morale or performance problems within the store.

7. Responsible for stocking store on a daily basis to maintain a good in-stock condition.

8. Responsible for following all Company procedures which apply to store.

9. Proper maintaining of store housekeeping consisting of sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, bathrooms, break room and any other areas directed by management.

10. Work in any area of store needing assistance as requested by management.

11. Always work in a safe manner to ensure that Company safety guidelines are being followed.

12. Responsible for informing management of any security problems involving customers or employee theft.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

A Part-Time Sales Associate will frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach. He/she will occasionally climb

(ex. ladder), stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, turn, twist, push, and pull. He/she will handle things such as packages, product, and money. He/she will frequently use his/her fingers to flex and extend fingers such as running a register.

Lifting - Eighty percent of the objects are under twenty-five pounds, and twenty percent are twenty-five to forty-nine pounds.

Carrying - Ninety percent of the objects are under twenty-five pounds, and ten percent are twenty-five to forty-nine pounds.

Vision - Must be able to read the print on a product package, and use a monitor and keyboard. Be able to recognize physical conditions in the store (For example: aisles, walkways, storage racks, fixtures, file cabinets).

Hearing/ Speaking - Must be able to communicate by hearing/talking with a customer, or taking direction from a supervisor. Must be able to receive direction through an intercom or bell. A moderate amount of time is spent in verbal communications with other team members.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

A Part-Time Sales Associate will occasionally work with his/her hands in water, and be exposed to dust, and solvents. He/she is occasionally exposed to slippery or uneven walking surfaces. He/she works frequently in close proximity to others. He/she consistently works inside and occasionally outside.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

A limited amount of decision making and level of reasoning in problem solving is required. A Part-Time

Sales Associate must be able to recall information about the product and communicate that to the customer.
