At Gresham Toyota, the Retail Parts Counter Person contributes to the success of the Parts Department by being involved and adding to our customer's satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business by ensuring customer complaints are handled tactfully, promptly, with genuine concern, and per brand standards
  • Take initiative to exceed customer satisfaction and brand Customer Survey Score Cards by ensuring the quality and promptness of all parts requests
  • Complete training programs and certification programs
  • Monitor shop conditions, cleanliness and safety
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Ability to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts
  • Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information
  • Pull and fill orders from stock
  • Maintain a weekly bin check to ensure accuracy of stock
  • Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders
  • Receive payment from retail customers; obtain credit authorization
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up

Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
  • Ability to follow and adhere to brand Guidelines & Customer Service Expectations
  • A strong focus on keeping KPI scores high
  • Must be a process-driven individual with the strong ability to multitask
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
