Job Description
Overview: The Retail Office Clerk reports directly to our Area Manager and works daily with the Store Managers in their area to ensure accounting and record keeping aspects of the company are accurately and diligently performed.

  • In an accurate and timely manner, enter invoices, reconcile cigarette counts, reconcile petty cash, reconcile lottery counts, complete daily reports, and prepare deposits
  • In an accurate and timely manner, complete price surveys as needed
  • Communicate with Break Time stores regarding missing or incomplete documentation in a timely manner
  • Follow up when necessary to ensure required information is received
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Maintain good working relationship with all employees
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Know and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Follow own posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors, and customers
  • Keep supervisor informed of any problems and/or any issues that need attention
  • All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Reliable transportation to work and the ability to commute between stores during your workday
  • Ability to consistently drive and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Must exhibit a high level of responsibility, integrity, dependability, and stability
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions
  • Ability to exchange accurate information with Break Time customers in English
  • Capability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
  • Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Physical ability to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies form shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
  • Ability to visually observe and inspect items and work environment for regular job responsibilities and safety concerns
Preferred Skills:
  • 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Able to perform detail work with accuracy
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work at a fast pace
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to set priorities and goals and develop plans for achieving them
