JOB OVERVIEW:
The Retail Marketing Manager will support in the development of the Retail business strategy and be a key driver of execution against Retail initiatives. This position will work hand in hand with Merchandising and Operations teams to bring to life our long term vision and will leverage available data and guest insights to inform strategic decision making and proactively identify areas of improvement for the business. You will serve as a key marketing lead on cross-functional projects and initiatives, sharing our marketing point of view and ensuring it comes to life in a way that resonates for our guests.
The manager should be an analytical marketer with the ability to leverage and implement a segmented, targeted, and personalized marketing approach, with experience leveraging test-and-learn capabilities to measure effectiveness in order to drive business results. In addition, this role will help define KPI’s, reporting cadence, and the optimization approach across retail campaigns.
The Retail Marketing Manager must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to give and take feedback, as well as effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and prioritize workflow. They will be involved in many different types of projects and be responsible for delivering results on-time in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial, as well as the ability to create powerful working relationships.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leverage available data to inform product strategies, messaging, and marketing tactics to deliver defined business targets
- Partner closely with Merchandising & Operations teams to develop and bring to life our long term retail strategy
- Collaborate with the go-to-market team and engage heavily throughout the evolution of content that brings the retail marketing strategy to life
- Ideate, develop, and pitch new marketing strategies to reach our guests most effectively – translating known guest insights into tactical plans and moving them through the approval process
- Work closely with Relationship Management (RM) team on consumer insights, segmentation strategies, and customer capture initiatives for retail
- Independently execute on projects / initiatives / campaigns as defined by the Sr. Retail Marketing Manager
- Collaborate with the Merchandising, Digital, & RM teams on reporting and optimization of VRR’s marketing plan utilizing supporting data on sales analytics, channel results, etc.
- Deploy strategies and tactics to drive engagement in retail campaigns, resulting ultimately in improved conversion, return rate, and affinity for our breadth of brands
- Provide thought partnership on the evolution of our retail portfolio both in-resort and in-city/en-rout
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field, MBA or advanced degree a plus
- A minimum of 4 years of marketing strategy and execution
- Strong passion for retail – in-store & digital
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think conceptually across various customer communication channels and touch points
- Business ownership mentality and logical, fact-based thinker
- Great collaborator
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data from a variety of systems to create a point of view which can influence and drive the businesS
Preferred:
- Experience in a resort, travel, or retail environment
- Retail e-commerce experience
The budgeted range starts at $70,000-$80,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
