Johnson Controls has embarked on a multi-year journey to transform its various ERP’s within the Installation and Services businesses from their existing on premise legacy platforms to the Oracle Fusion ERP hosted in Oracle’s cloud. This activity is part of an overall 5 year roadmap to simply, harmonize, and transform the organization using consolidated systems and business processes. This role will be primarily focused on the Retail Business Delivery, however there will be some cross Business Unit programs requiring work with the North American, Asia-Pacific and European Delivery Leaders
What you will do
The “IT Delivery Lead” works with Business Partners, Project Managers, Solutions Architects and Technical Architects to build solutions that meet functional and technical requirements, including managing delivery resources, both internal and external, liaising with the IT business partner and business analysts while aligning to the agreed delivery methodology e.g. waterfall/ agile.
This role is primarily focused on the Oracle technology tech stack in the Global Retail division, with an emphasis on the Oracle Fusion ERP and Manufacturing Capabilities but will also have overall delivery responsibility for integrated boundary systems.
In this role the person will be reporting to the Director of the Oracle Center of Excellence (OCoE) team working on various project across the Retail footprint across the globe primarily focused on the implementation of the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
How you will do it
Core Responsibilities & Expectations
Strategic Program
- Assume overall ownership of delivering JCI Retail Oracle Transformation program, as part a multi-year defined ERP roadmap
- Program delivery entails entire end to end value stream perspective, and not limited to within the ERP, including value streams enablers like CPQ/PPM/Field Service, and also wider enterprise external eco-system
- Close partnership and collaboration with designated Retail IT business partner, Business unit work stream lead(s), IT Solution Delivery Leads, External System Integration Partners, and PMO to ensure success delivery and execution of program in region
- Execute delivery of the program jointly with a mix of supporting internal and external resources (Both in region and global), including and not limited to the following domain(s); business process (analysts), technical and solution design (architects), technical delivery and execution domains (SI partner), JCI Internal Center of Excellence (COE) and PMO
- Being the gate keeper to ensure alignment with global governance (both business process, technical design) to drive process and solution standardizations. At the same time, being the in-region voice to deliver required localized solutions that is aligned to the broader enterprise design and mandate.
Day to Day
- Coordinate with Business Partners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Technical Architects and COE teams for the successful delivery of project(s) across the Oracle technology stack domains
- Work with Project Managers to define project plan (e.g., project delivery tasks, milestones) and coordinate the alignment of RAID items within the project with escalation to leadership as applicable
- Responsible for the Build to Delivery(BTD) estimate and delivery aligned with functional and technical requirements
- Accountable for engagement with SI partner for BTD activities
- Responsible for engaging with or directly managing Technical COE’s as it relates to program scope
- Lead and manage technical and solution delivery resources for a project and/or specific/multiple workstream(s)
- Responsibility to ensure functional and technical governance is in place for project for adherence to enterprise standard as applicable and adherence to technical standards and strategy from relevant COE
- Drive benefit realization and delivery of intended results in partnership with the project team sponsors
- Ensure knowledge transfer to application and infrastructure support teams

What we look for
- 10 to 15 years’ experience in Program/Solution Delivery, Business IT partnering and Functional business stakeholder management. Proven experience performing in a global highly matrix functional and IT environment
- Proven experience in delivering part or full multi-year strategic programs spanning across geographies, with a regional BU and global context.
- Proven expertise and experience in ERP programs is a must, Oracle Fusion preferred.
- Prior experience in business process design, analysis, blueprinting, standardization and optimization is a must, in the context of full end to end value chain stream for Order to Cash/Delivery for both flow, products, service and complex projects use cases. Full value stream experience from front end commercial (leads generation) till tail end execution (delivery and cash collection), including external ecosystems (Procurement/Tax/ Reporting/Legal/HR etc.) will be an advantage
- Prior experience or proven business domain knowledge in the following industries will be preferred; Industrial, construction, commercial building, field service, complex installation projects, manufacturing
- Hands on attitude with an ability to connect with all team, verticals, horizontal and matrix, including developers and business subject matter experts – good mix of business IT skills, business process knowledge and solid technical expertise
- Good analytical skills and interpersonal skills to interact with various business process representatives; Great verbal and written communications and presentation skills. Ability to articulate business process requirements to a development team (and vice versa: IT requirements to the business) in order to support the implementation
- Structured and meticulous in work deliverables. See documentations, literatures and structure as ally, not simply as a means
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, business administration or equivalent experience
Preferred
- PMP/Lean Six Sigma/Agile knowledge/certification
- Willing to travel (~10-20%)
