Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Be the subject matter expert for all things related to store-level sales trends, especially regarding inventory performance.
- Produce reports and conduct analyses including individual store performance at the category and item level.
- Design improvement plans by store based on inventory category mix, turn, and projected sales.
- Build and refine forecasts and models of critical business phenomena, such as asset allocation, product sales, price elasticity, return patterns and other customer behaviors.
- Investigate and determine root cause of store inventory anomalies; make recommendations on process improvements.
- Identify idle inventory and recommend action steps.
- Liaise with other departments such as merchants and field leadership to correlate “on the ground” observations with system data and make recommendations to the allocation team.
- Develop presentations for senior management, synthesizing key findings and making recommendations as needed.
- Conduct in depth research on process matters without losing sight of the big picture; balance the need to maintain forward momentum.
- Perform ad hoc reporting, as assigned.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Finance or other related field;
- Expert proficiency in MS Office (Excel); with experience modeling business processes and automating repetitive tasks.
- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
- Must have experience creating dashboards and automated views in Power BI.
- Ability to deliver insightful quantitative and qualitative results.
- Strong business acumen with superior analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and independently; must be a self-starter.
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
- Able to succinctly summarize very granular data.
- Proactive and adept in managing competing deadlines and priorities.
- Able to explain complex problems and solutions in a simple, straightforward way.
