ReStore Sales Associate

Job Title: ReStore Sales Associate

Reports to: ReStore Manager

Description: The ReStore Sales Associate will be the primary cashier and customer service representative at the ReStore. He/she will represent the ReStore in a professional and personable way, while promoting the mission of the ReStore with our volunteers, donors, and customers. The associate’s secondary responsibilities will include general cleaning in the ReStore, and restocking, displaying, and staging merchandise on the sales floor. We are a new ReStore; we opened on January 22, 2022. This is a great opportunity for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, is looking for a fulfilling career in sales, and wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

Employee Status: Part time with future potential for full time Work Schedule: Flexible daylight schedule, typical schedule will be 21 hours per week on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; off every Sunday and Monday.

Pay Range: $12-$14 per hour

Responsibilities:

1. General Duties include:

· Understand, and support the mission of the Central Valley Habitat for Humanity, including the mission of the ReStore.

· Treat all people with respect and brotherly love

· Demonstrate a strong work ethic, personal responsibility, and high level of integrity

· Quality focused work

· Promote ReStore donations and volunteering at the ReStore

· Coach or train volunteers as needed, making their experience meaningful

· Maintain cooperative and positive working relationships

· Help maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe working/shopping environment

2. Required Skills / Experience

· Excellent interpersonal skills; inclusive, welcoming, and engaging with all people

· Good decision making and problem-solving skills

· Basic math skills, ability to use a cash register, make change, and properly wrap and bag purchased goods

· Experience working in a retail, manufacturing, or warehouse environment (preferred).

3. Other Requirements

· High school graduate, or equivalent.

· Must pass Criminal Background Check and Sexual Offender Check.

· Proper dress: Clean and modest shirt and pants, no holes, or rips, closed-toed shoes, and ReStore name tag. Some items are provided. Jeans, long shorts, and sneakers are permitted.

· Minimum of six months’ work experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekend availability

Staff may be required to wear a mask at the supervising staff member's discretion.
