We are currently seeking an experienced and energetic individual for the position of Bistro Supervisor to lead our exception team of passionate and committed associates! This position is primarily AM based but requires flexibility on a weekly basis to ensure we meet the demands of our guests and team members.

The ideal candidate must have experience in a supervisory type position within full service restaurants with knowledge of food and beverage cost and sequence of service. Micros experience a plus. Should possess hands on attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Functions

o Completely direct the operational efforts and strategies of the kitchen outlet.

o Supervises the kitchen and server staff members. Provides guidance, aid and counsel for all team members.

o Trains all associates in the kitchen how to perform their job duties to the best of their abilities

o Ensures proper food production techniques, plate presentation, display work are always performed to standards.

o Monitors and ensures that cleaning and sanitation practices are performed daily (we are clean freaks!).

o Develops schedules, evaluates personnel and provides daily development of team members.

o Keeps open verbal and written communication between all associates and departments.

o Writes and presents disciplinary action as needed.

o Provides associates with the tools and equipment they need to do their jobs.

o Takes immediate action on problems that are encountered in the kitchen or restaurant.

o Participates in weekly staff meetings, weekly BEO meetings with sales and performs monthly departmental team meetings.

o Conducts inventories, makes purchases and approves expenses for the department.

o Ensures all food served is of high quality, properly prepared according to recipe and is expedited in an efficient manner.

o Passionate to help in all areas of food service and as needed in other areas of the hotel operation.
