$15,000 sign-on bonus available!

The Medical Center of Aurora, level II trauma a level III NICU, part of HCA's HealthOne, The Medical Center of Aurora is a 346 bed hospital. The Respiratory Therapy Department at The Medical Center of Aurora is seeking Respiratory Care Practitioners with ECMO experience who align with our vision of elevating the practice of Respiratory Care. We are seeking therapists who are excited to practice with autonomy, respect, and be part of a dynamic team who seek to practice at the top of license. Responsibilities:

  • The RRT will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department.
  • The RRT will perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Respiratory Care Departments Policy and Procedure Manual and will assist in assigned administrative tasks, and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs.
  • The RRT should also be able to provide advanced clinical expertise and education to departmental staff members and other members of the healthcare team.
  • The RRT with ECMO experience will have an opportunity to apply to be part of the highly specialized ECMO team.

Qualifications



Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Current Colorado Respiratory License
  • NBRC RRT credential required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP must be American Heart or American Red Cross
  • Advanced knowledge, skills and abilities related to ECMO preferred

Education:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Completion of an approved ECMO Specialist Program and maintain competence through mandatory educational required programs/courses/inservices, as described by hospital leadership preferred.

Experience:

  • Two years recent Acute Care Experience preferred
  • Previous experience as an ECMO specialist and/or critical care experience in open heart surgery recovery, VV and VA ECMO preferred.
