Seeking a Respiratory Clinical Operations Coordinator for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. In this role you will:
- Coordinate orientation, competencies and ongoing education required for unit specific aspects of care.
- Maintain department education files, including new employee orientation checklist, equipment training checklist, mandatory in-service attendance confirmation and continuing education sessions provided.
- Assist the Director of Respiratory Therapy with maintaining and developing policies and procedure for the department as well as monitoring compliance with QRS, TJC, and all federal and state regulatory agencies on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor and assist with the collection, documentation, and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data; extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies.
- Assist with monitoring the compliance and operation of ePOC blood gas analyzers.
- Organize and provide needed training for the Respiratory Therapy Department, Nursing and Physicians as necessary.
- Organize professional recognition for Respiratory Care Week activities.
- Serves as the clinical resource expert to the staff and coordinate clinical affiliation and serve as a preceptor for RT students.
Qualifications
- RRT; Bachelor's degree required.
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care and licensed to practice in the state of Texas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
- Current NRP required.
- Three or more years as a Respiratory Educator or extended history of initiative in education programs/projects.
- Minimum five years experience in Respiratory - one to two years supervisory experience preferred.
- NICU experience is preferred.
