Responsibilities: The Respiratory Care Practitioner / Respiratory Therapist / RCP is responsible for:- Performing routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients
- Maintaining all equipment in working order
- Providing phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required
- Having knowledge of all modalities of respiratory care
- Having the ability to interact well and provide instruction and information, both orally and in written form to patients, family and staff
- Be certified to practice respiratory care by the Department of Health for the state in which the facility is located
- Possess and maintain current ACLS and CPR certifications
- Have at least one year of experience in mechanical ventilatory support, EKG performance, ABG puncture and analysis
- Experience in critical care preferred
