Respiratory Care Practitioner II
On Call, FTE: 0; 12 hour shifts; requires rotating weekends and holidays

Job Summary:
- The Respiratory Care Practitioner has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality respiratory care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives, policies, procedures, guidelines and objectives of Respiratory Care Services.
- Utilizing the Relationship Based Care Model and the NorthBay Way, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all patients assigned to his/her care.
- Makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health.
- Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psycho-social needs of the patient. Supports the mission, vision, values and expectations of excellence of the organization.
Education:
- Graduate of an approved CoARC RCP Program
Licensure and Certification:
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License by the state of California.
- RRT required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- At least six months post graduate acute care experience required.
- Ventilator experience with ICU patients highly preferred.
- Pediatric/neonatal experience preferred.
- Competent to deliver safe, effective, quality respiratory care

Other:
- All Respiratory Therapy positions in the Patient Care Services Department are required to wear Navy Blue colored scrubs per the professional appearance policy.
