Administers safe, effective respiratory treatments, consistent with current standards of practice, to restore normal cardio-pulmonary function in acute care areas excluding Critical Care i.e.: ICU, ED, NICU.
Administers safe, effective medical gas therapy, consistent with current standards of practice, to achieve restoration of normal oxygenation in acute care areas excluding Critical Care i.e.: ICU, ED, NICU
Maintains equipment and supplies to ensure decontamination, disinfection, sterilization and proper function of that equipment and supplies.
Follows the applicable safety and health rules as stated in SEMC’s policies and procedures, and performs work related duties in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses: Registered student in an AMA and CoARC accredited educational program for Respiratory Therapists. Completed a minimum of one clinical semester.
3.Holds current limited mandatory certificate to practice Respiratory Therapy in the state where work is being performed.
