Framatome Instrumentation & Controls Operating Unit (OU) is looking for a Planner/Scheduler I.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Resource Planning System - Work with Resource Management stakeholders to define a lean process and select / configure / administer a Resource Planning System to meet the needs of the I&C OU.
- Capacity and Demand Management - Work with Resource Management stakeholders to optimize resource utilization by prioritizing work with available resource capacity. Capacity Management includes the maintenance of skills matrix and associated competency levels. Provide input data and support in S&OP campaigns.
- Resource What-If Scenarios - Assist Resource Managers with developing What-If scenarios to aid in the development of resource plans. Aid the OU with understanding the impact of unplanned work on the portfolio.
- Interface Management - Serve as liaison between Resource Managers and Project Management Controls to increase and improve communication between project and resource managers and team members.
- Resource Plan Risk Management - Analyze resource plans and associated project schedules to identify potential delays and gain visibility into which projects need staffing attention; recommend changes to plans and schedules.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Participates on project teams providing valued project data and analysis.
- Provides training, coaching and leadership to resource management stakeholders, as needed.
- Gain insight into existing or future resource gaps
- Recommends and develops resource planning/scheduling process improvements.
- Ensure "true" picture of capacity is represented
- Ensure full spectrum of resource demand is characterized
- Benchmark best practices to help drive Operational Excellence within Resource Planning.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
- Bachelor's Degree in a non-technical discipline plus 0-2 years of related work experience, or comparable related experience in lieu of Degree.
- Past exposure to planning and scheduling concepts and scheduling software (Primavera and MS Project).
- Past experience as a software system administrator.
- Good written, verbal and listening communication skills.
- Understanding of internal and external stakeholders to ensure complete work package inputs and definition.
- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Fundamental working knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
