The Director of the Resource Management Center (RMC) is responsible for the oversight, and direction for all functions within the MultiCare RMC to include admits, system transfers between MultiCare hospitals, direct admits from clinics, Nurse Triage Center, telesitter, centralize monitoring, and System Float Pool. Handled with quality customer service, the Director ensures the appropriate placement of transfers/direct admits, and functions as the marketing liaison between MHS and non MHS clinics and hospitals. The operation of RMC is integral to the operations of the Mission Coordination Center (MC2) and the Director of RMC will work in collaboration with the Director of MC2 to align strategic initiatives to maximize resource allocation to support accurate patient placement, throughput, and efficiencies. This position provides strategic vision to the department; creates a culture of compliance, ethics, integrity, and accountability while orchestrating the daily activities necessary to achieve the organization's critical performance indicators.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
– Provides leadership and strategic direction for department
? Develops and implements department strategic plans and objectives which are aligned with organizational mission, vision and objectives
? Establishes processes and policies that optimize patient outcomes.
? Addresses bioethical, legal and patient safety issues regarding patient flow
? Assumes the role of marketing liaison between MHS and non MHS clinics and hospitals
? Supervises staff providing direction and guidance, and administering management functions within the provisions of MultiCare policies and standards and federal, state and local regulations

? Establishes and oversee performance improvement initiatives
? Develops and manages teams and individuals

? Reviews and edits transfer center policies, protocols and guidelines
? Promotes a cooperative working environment between MHS facilities and One Call Center staff
? Establishes a successful working relationship with physicians in private practice, urgent care systems, and hospitals
? Interprets and promotes the One Call Center's function to medical staff members.
? Facilitates resolution of complaints and differences

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
– Knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of patient care.
– Knowledge of health care regulations (JACHO and DOH standards).
– Knowledge of management and health care trends
– Knowledge of labor relations in a predominantly unionized setting
– Knowledge of system policies and established confidentiality policies
– Knowledge and skill in the use of personal computers and related systems and software
– Knowledge of the principles of information management in order to analyze data and make decisions effectively.
– Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principals and practices as well as knowledge of skill in the use and interpretation of data

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
– Master’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field required
– Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.
– Six years of progressive experience in both a managerial and supervisory capacity
– Three years clinical experience required
– Two years administrative experience, recent bed placement/hospital
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
