We are looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide whom would be responsible for providing personal cares and designated health related services to enhance and/or maintain the assisted living or memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
This caregiver position includes;
  • .01 FTE or 1 hours in two weeks
  • On-call/casual day, evening, overnight shift
  • Must work minimum 3 shifts per month, including 1 weekend shift per month and 1 holiday per year required.
Responsibilities/Job Description:

  • Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
  • Under direction of Nurse provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Performs specified home services as needed such as; laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
  • Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assists with onboarding of new staff
Qualifications: Required Skills:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with empathy and compassion for residents and coworkers
  • Ability to work in a team setting and support others
  • Ability to work with a diverse and elderly population
  • Med Manager Certification by approved Iowa agency or be able to obtain this certification within 30 days after hire for employees age 18+
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Previous work experience or formal training/education as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA or similar preferred
  • Work experience in a customer service setting preferred
  • Med Manager Certification by approved Iowa agency
