Vintage Hills Senior Living of Indianola, Iowa is located just minutes from Des Moines’ South side and offers Assisted Living, Memory Care and Stay by the Day units. Our dedicated employees enjoy working in a family-like environment that is fun, safe and always raising the bar! As an Ebenezer managed property, we are dedicated to helping seniors live as independantly as possible.
This caregiver position includes;
- .01 FTE or 1 hours in two weeks
- On-call/casual day, evening, overnight shift
- Must work minimum 3 shifts per month, including 1 weekend shift per month and 1 holiday per year required.
Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.- Under direction of Nurse provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Performs specified home services as needed such as; laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
- Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff
- Other duties as assigned
- Assists with onboarding of new staff
- Ability to communicate effectively, with empathy and compassion for residents and coworkers
- Ability to work in a team setting and support others
- Ability to work with a diverse and elderly population
- Med Manager Certification by approved Iowa agency or be able to obtain this certification within 30 days after hire for employees age 18+
- Previous work experience or formal training/education as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA or similar preferred
- Work experience in a customer service setting preferred
- Med Manager Certification by approved Iowa agency
