We are committed to ensuring that all candidates hired share our commitment to diversity, antiracism, and inclusion.Responsibilities: There is an opening for a Research Technician I in the Paddison Lab within the Human Biology Division for supporting the development, testing, and use of CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing libraries and technology in mammals. The position will use molecular, cellular, and functional genetic techniques on a daily basis with a significant focus in human stem cell biology. The position will contribute to establishing CRISPR-Cas9-based targeting systems at the Center.Qualifications:Research Technician I minimum qualifications:
  • BA/BS in a scientific field required
  • Must have scientific knowledge in the area of study and basic laboratory skills
  • Independent research experience in addition to school lab experience is usually necessary

  • Highly motivated and intellectually curious
  • A solid background knowledge in cell biology and/or cancer biology
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to maintain organized laboratory notebook and computer files
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with murine research models
  • Interested in long term laboratory management position
