Research Scientist II

Arxada is looking for a Research Scientist to support our Process Technology and Optimization Group located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. In this position You will be responsible for working as a member of a research unit or project team. You also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of procedures and processes in the field of chemical synthesis, biotechnology, microbiology, analytical development, chemical engineering, PAT, and Data Management

Key responsibilities

  • Plans experimental lab work (scheduling, design, safety measures, coordination with associated services).

  • Collects, summarizes, analyses data to prepare reports and makes presentations, as appropriate, to disseminate best practice throughout the function.

  • Prepares data for scientific decisions. Contributes to scientific field or technique by solving scientific problems within R&D.

  • Potential responsibility of managing a lab or platform (Organization, Equipment, Safety).

  • Represents the team in group and project team meetings Disseminates good quality information throughout the team.

  • Manages, develops and coaches 1-2 lab technicians. Provides on-the-job training and support to new team members

  • Evaluation and Implementation of trends and innovations in the area of expertise.


Key requirements

  • Requires a minimum of a BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering .

  • Other engineering degrees with fundamental course work in chemistry, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science may be considered.

  • Effective communication skills are required due to the multidisciplinary team structures
