Position Summary:
The Research Nurse is responsible for a variety of activities to include the development and coordination of research activities. The research nurse is expected to apply solid principles of leadership, human relations, and continuous quality improvement to insure the growth and fiscal success of the Research Department. The incumbent will have an integral role in the operations of the Research Department by helping to evaluate clinical trials for implementation at various locations throughout MHS. Work situations are varied and require strong organization, prioritization, data analysis, verbal and written communication skills, the use of discretion, good judgement, problem solving, decision-making and leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
Two years of experience in clinical research with knowledge of regulatory requirements, informed consent design, informed consent process and conduct of clinical trials. Two years of hospital experience with knowledge of oral and parenteral medication administration systems.
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Current WA State RN License.
Must have BSN or agree to sign an education agreement. Masters degree preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Valid Washington State Driver's License.
