Research Director, Kantar Health
The Research Director (RD) is accountable for client satisfaction for Research projects and therefore is responsible for building strong, effective client relationships and being the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients. The RD is ultimately responsible for achieving repeat business from assigned clients and requires the highest level of consulting, communications, and market research skills, both qualitative and quantitative, to achieve the financial and client relationship goals for the business. The position has no direct reports, however, mentors and oversees Associate Research Directors, and reports directly to a Client Business Partner in Research.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently and in collaboration with Client Partners (CPs), develop strong, trusted relationships with clients. Actively participate in capabilities presentations and sales pitches as well as writing proposals.
As SME, develops full understanding of client business issues, identifying solutions and designing research (commercial quant/qual and RWR) to meet client needs, drive repeat business, and identify new clients.
Coordinates with Engagement Services (our fielding team) and Client Business Partner on pricing and obtaining required persuasive evidence and purchase orders needed for recognition of sales.
Leads client and team discussions to drive high impact results taking responsibility for guiding/completing project work, quality, timing, budget, invoicing, and ultimately client satisfaction.
Leads the work involved in creating surveys and discussion guides, designing, and finalizing all protocols, setting strategic direction on story flow for the team, and delivering a creative, impactful presentation.
Provides training on processes and shares client knowledge with team members.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is a plus.
Demonstrated strong market research skills which includes questionnaire/discussion guide development, modeling/conjoint and segmentation studies.
Understanding of multiple approaches and ability to adapt and find new solutions to clients rapidly changing needs in a data rich environment is expected.
Successful consulting and market research supplier experience preferably in pharma/healthcare industry is required.
Experience as a strategic account leader for accounts valued at $1M - $2M is essential.
Leadership experience with market research teams is preferred.
Knowledge/experience in Oncology and/or Rare Diseases is also preferable.
