Job Description
Summary
The Dan L Duncan Institute for Clinical and Translational Research provides a learning environment at Baylor College of Medicine that integrates data from diverse domains including the electronic medical record, geospatial and social information and next generation technologies to support research, development and implementation of new approaches to patient care. The ICTR is currently seeking a Research Coordinator II to assist the Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) with research studies.

Our major goals at ICTR are to:
  • Catalyze interdisciplinary, collaborative clinical research
  • Create a robust, readily accessible infrastructure to support multidisciplinary, collaborative clinical research
  • Attract, educate and train individuals in clinical and collaborative research
  • Improve human health and healthcare practice (additional language)
Our ultimate goal is to become an academic leader in clinical data science, with focused on using multidisciplinary sciences (health information technology and clinical research) to improve the outcomes of healthcare. Job Duties
Interviews, screen and recruits patients for study; explains process and procedures to educate participant regarding the research study.
Collects patient information; processes documents and enters information into a database.
Maintains records and regulatory documents and records for research studies.
Schedules research participant for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol.
Retrieves and submits test results to appropriate party.
May correspond with patient throughout study.
Orders supplies and equipment.
Develops the manual of operations for research studies and its implementation at each study site.
Oversees translation of procedures to Chinese, French, Spanish, and other languages. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
One year of relevant experience.
