WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:


The Research Associate/Senior Research Associate will support exploration of novel autoimmune diseases therapeutics. These individuals should have a desire to build on their knowledge of immunology and learn new technologies and methodologies.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Under minimal supervision, execute in vivo studies with lab mouse including handling, common administration, dissection and bleeding.
  • Conduct experiments using immunological-based assays, cell and molecular biology assays.
  • Assist with developing novel small molecule or cell therapies for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
  • Interpretation, presentation and documentation of experiments within an electronic lab notebook, as well as preparation of reports.
  • Written and verbal presentation of results within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • B.S. or M.S. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Genetics, General Biology or equivalent experience in a related discipline with technical and scientific expertise in pre-clinical development.
  • Hands on experience with in vivo (eg: s.c., i.p., i.v., oral gavage administration, blood/tissue collection, tumor implantation) and ex vivo skills (flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA, cell culture).
  • Track record of publications in Immunology or equivalent achievements in industry desired.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in autoimmune research including systemic lupus erythematosus is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in all common and scientific software.
