Position Highlights:

  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, Day shift
  • Required Travel: Yes; required to travel other location within the NorthShore legacy depend on projects

What you will need:
  • Education: Bachelor Degree
  • Certification: N/A
  • Experience: preferred Science background and research related experience
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
    • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and its usage.
    • Knowledge of sterile techniques.
    • Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with students, faculty, staff and peers.
    • Data entry and patient interview to assist researchers on projects.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.

What you will do:
  • Assist with patient recruitment.
  • Collect biological samples.
  • Performs routine qualitative and quantitative tests to determine the basic components and characteristics of biological specimens and samples; records test results; labels and files specimens and results.
  • Ship samples to the study reference laboratory.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the research database.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-stocked work area.
  • Performs study related duties as required or assigned.
