The Training and Product Coordinator creates, oversees, coordinates and ensures all trainings for Rental/Retail division are executed. The training coordinator assesses the needs of the division, implements training and development plans, and facilitates a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of the workforce.
- Coordinate all aspects of RTP, NetSuite, Kronos, and Learning Management System training for Rental Retail staff including scheduling of training sessions, creating content and resource materials, manuals and producing workbooks
- Coordinate and conduct all Rental/Retail employee training sessions
- Serve as the Rental/Retail trainer and liaison with Ski and Snowboard Schools, Hospitality and Product Sales and Services
- Identify training performance issues by leveraging assessments, system data analytics, and process audits. Provide employee retraining and escalate reoccurring performance issues to hiring managers.
- Own Rental/Retail’s RTP Product Creation & Promotional tasks, working closely with the Shared Material Master team.
- Assist Rental/Retail management teams, attending all meetings and assisting on the front-line as needed
- Provide leadership to staff, offering timely feedback as appropriate
- Assist in the continual education of staff with regards to operating standards, product knowledge, up-selling techniques, customer service excellence, computer software, and all current programs, policies, and mountain or departmental events
- Generate ideas and alternate means of creating revenue, reducing expenses or improving guest experience in departments as well as other areas of the company
- Lead process improvement sessions with rental/retail team as required
- Responsible for managing training budget
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
Qualifications
3 years of experience conducting training, creating training, and/or overseeing training- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong knowledge of computers and ability to grasp technical issues
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work with people of all levels with professional presentation
- Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among various departments
- Ability to lead and motivate staff
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- Willingness and ability to accept and apply feedback
- Proven ability to make sound decisions
- Ability to manage projects with a high degree of independence

Supervision Given and Received
Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision received: Works under general supervision of the Director of Store Operations. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required. Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
