Job Description
U. S. Steel is seeking a Reliability Assurance Training Specialist. The Reliability Assurance Training Specialist will lead training efforts surrounding Reliability Assurance standards and best practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and deployment of reliability best practices and systems training throughout U. S. Steel. Through coaching, training and the application of best practices and standards, the Reliability Assurance Training Specialist will support the facilitation and standardization of best practices in reliability and planning and scheduling, and ensure the capabilities are maintained throughout the management and union workforce.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop suite of training modules for Reliability functions (Root Cause Failure Analysis, Criticality Assessments, Condition Based Maintenance, Simplified Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Technical Writing, Planning/Scheduling, Advanced Scheduling Tools, Reliability Principles, Operator Asset Care, etc.) for both hourly and salary employees.
- Plan, develop, and implement strategy to train and develop organization on Reliability.
- Conduct classroom instruction for training modules
- Develop user-paced online training modules
- Identify and select outside training resources as needed.
- Consult with local leadership to assess capability and training needs.
- Lead community of practice development for reliability and planning/scheduling
- Lead standardization teams and develop standards pertaining to reliability and work management
- Develop lessons learned and best practices with local reliability assurance employees
- Support Corporate Reliability Assurance initiatives and contribute to team success
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- B.S. degree engineering or technical
- Master Degree preferred
- CMRP certified preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Reliability Management
- Minimum 10 years of experience within Manufacturing Environment.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to champion change
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design.
- Experience in teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Work environment/Physical requirements:
- Requires travel.
- This job is generally performed in office environment.
- Requires working in industrial/factory settings depending on project
