Job Summary:

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. The Respiratory Therapist utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and identifies problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. When acting in a charge therapist role, respiratory therapists are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment

• You will perform routine and critical respiratory, therapeutic and routine diagnostic procedures.
• You will serve as resource person for hospital staff and physicians regarding current practices in respiratory care.
• You will perform treatments/procedures for patients maintaining a high quality of care and completes all functions associated with procedure in a timely manner.

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, a 159 bed hospital about 15 minutes outside of Nashville, has provided high-quality health care to residents of Sumner and surrounding counties for over 40 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County and is a Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville, featuring Sumner County’s only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), hosts spacious LDRP suites and a lactation boutique for inpatient and outpatient services. In addition to its main hospital campus, other affiliates include TriStar Women’s Imaging Hendersonville, The Outpatient Center at Hendersonville, TriStar Portland ER and TriStar Portland Diagnostic Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of A.M.A. approved school of respiratory therapy
• RRT, within 1 year of hire. New grads must have State Work Permit
• BLS, NRP, ACLS and PALS Certified, must be completed within 6 months of hire.
