GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The RN Supervisor directs the Independent Living Services program, in the designated service area, supervising independent living assistants (ILAs) and office coordinator. The RN Supervisor is responsible for the direction and oversight of care for in-home services. The RN Supervisor works under the supervision of the Home Care Manager and the general direction of the Executive Director.
This is a Safety Sensitive position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage and execute the program requirements and policies for in-home services.
2. Establish and administer client services from referrals, initiation and implementation of care, following admission requirements (DMS618), service plan development, on-going client monitoring, reassessments, supervisory home visits, set-up delivery of service, changes in service delivery, compliance with program requirements and other duties, including program and services forms completion.
3. Manage all aspects of ILA employment and recruitment with professionalism and a respectful attitude, including but not limited to; training, hiring, discipline, client assignments (schedule and tasks), evaluations, service delivery documentation, leave requests, job performance and training functions and documentation using web based programs.
4. Maintain the web-based programs with expertise which includes supervising and executing the daily maintenance of ClearCare regarding all new, daily updates and client services and data revisions, ILA data, shift scheduling, clock in/out errors, daily fill-in, schedule coverage and other ILA matters that arise. Supervise staffing of in-home services.
5. Maintain excellent public relations with other providers, clinics and the community.
6. Coordinate services with other agencies to meet the needs of clients.
7. Distribute client information to internal departments’ and external agencies such as DHS, TLHC, VAHC and Long Term Care Insurance as needed.
8. Routine on-call accessibility to assist ILAs with client medical or service questions and electronic visit verification enquiries.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by Home Care Manager and Management.

Broad knowledge of such fields as advanced accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to four years of college, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
Basic: 10-Key, Word Processing/Typing
Proficient: Microsoft Office, Database, Web Based Programs
