Registered Nurse Supervisor
Do you posses the skills and positive attitude necessary for a service-oriented industry? Are you able to manage and supervise the nursing staff in accordance to policies and procedures set forth from the facility? Then you are the Nurse we are looking for. The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN Supervisor) must be willing to rotate shifts and be willing to be flexible with the schedule. Weekends and Holidays are a requirement for this position. MISSION STATEMENT St. Anne Home is a ministry of the Felician Sisters of North America dedicated to the continued healing mission of Jesus Christ by providing a continuum of care and supportive services to adults, their families, and their caregivers.

Qualifications of the job include (but are not limited to): Required Skills/Abilities
- Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing, bachelors program preferred
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Possesses ability to understand and react effectively to the unique needs of the age group served
- Meets attendance/scheduling requirements
- Criminal background check current within one year
- Must be able to organize, plan, delegate and motivate people
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a management position
- Prefer minimum of one (1) year experience in geriatric field
- Prefer CPR Certification
- IV Therapy Certification
- Interact with residents and employees
- Have access to resident property
- Maintain composure during stressful circumstances
- Ability to work with and provide care and services to difficult people
- Cross training may apply to RNAC, Restorative Programs
- Works independently and as a team member
- Meets the Department of Nursing competency requirements
- Potential for exposure to the fumes, radiation, dust, mist, gases, other fluids, materials or other elements listed in the Policy/Procedure Manual, MSDS and OSHA Manual.
- May rotate shifts, work weekends, holidays and accept call to meet the Homes scheduling needs.
- Perform blood draws, IV’s and infectious disease testing
- Complete resident assessments such as change in condition, newly admitted assessments, new onset of symptoms or condition
- Conduct inventories, administer medications and treatment, as well as record Schedule II medications
- Complete annual performance appraisals for RN/LPN/Nursing Assistants/Unit Clerk
- Overall management of the department in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing such as addressing nursing performance issues and complaints
- Adjust work assignments for nursing personnel, as needed
- Assign personnel to accompany resident to hospital and doctor office appointments
- Receive call-offs and secure proper replacement personnel
- Transcribes/carries out physician’s orders
- Demonstrates professional behavior and a positive, constructive attitude.
- Cooperates and works well with inter and intra departmental personnel.
- Exercises patience, kindness and understanding when dealing with residents, families and employees.
- Serves as a resource person providing direction, explanation, counseling and supervision
- Attends staff meetings, committee meetings and continuing education programs
- Participants in nursing activities, programs and sits on committees
- Maintains positive working relationships
- Gives thorough, concise nursing report
- Responsible for documentation and maintaining required record
- Communicates with physicians in understandable manner
- Arrangements for physician visits, review resident medical care plans, prepare drug requisitions
- Contact physician in emergency situations
