Registered Nurse - State Benefits - Broughton Hospital

Broughton Hospital is currently recruiting Registered Nurses for multiple positions on all shifts (8-Hour & 12-Hour Shifts Available).

The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional nursing care to assigned individuals and professional nursing supervision to LPN's and unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing actions and assures coordination of care to assigned caseload. The RN acts as team leader when assigned with responsibility for daily operational routines and provides clinical care and consultation as necessary or assigned, including but not limited to: medication/treatment administration, care planning/implementation, collaboration with multidisciplinary team of physicians and other professionals/support staff to ensure the provision of care. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events. RN licensure in North Carolina, Compact State Licensure, or pending licensure after graduation from a nursing program is required.

Work Schedule Shift Premium

8-hour shifts:

The regular working schedule is Monday - Friday with every other weekend.
1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm 10% Weekend
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm 20% Weekday & 30% Weekend
3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am 20% Weekday & 30% Weekend

12-hour shifts:

The regular working schedule is a 36hr/48hr rotation schedule over a two-week period (84 hours/2weeks) with every other weekend.
12-hour Day: 7:00am-7:30pm 10% Weekend
12-hour Night: 7:00pm-7:30am 20% Weekday & 30% Weekend

We are accepting "Graduate Nurse" temporary permits! Since testing centers for NCLEX are temporarily closed, NCBON has reinstituted the "Graduate Nurse" status for NC graduates. See Minimum Education and Experience Requirements section below for more details.

Broughton Hospital operates 297 beds and is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals with statutory responsibility for operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). With the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, we provide help and support to North Carolinians, and their families, experiencing mental illness. Our hospital serves the western thirty-seven (37) counties of North Carolina, as part of the state's system of care and treatment for persons with mental illness.
