We offer a number of specialty services including the Heart & Vascular Center, where the latest in cardiovascular surgery and minimally invasive techniques are performed, The Behavioral Health Center, The Women's Center, which includes our Baby Suites and 22 bed neonatal intensive care unit, The Reflux Center and a designated Bariatric Center of Excellence.

The RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.

Qualifications


Education:
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.

Licensing/Certifications
  • Current Florida State Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required.
  • Current AHA ACLS certification preferred - required within 6 months of hire
  • American Stroke Association NIHSS certification preferred
  • National Critical Care RN Certification (CCRN) preferred

Qualifications
  • One year previous experience in an ICU setting preferred; prior Medical ICU experience highly preferred
  • Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
