Employment Type: Part timeShift: 12 Hour Night ShiftDescription: Saint Francis Healthcare is looking for an experienced Part-time Registered Nurse to join the team on our Progressive Care Unit!**We are offering a competitive sign on bonus for this position!Schedule: Part-time, night shift (7p-7a) / Every other weekend and rotating holidaysThe staff nurse is a registered professional nurse who plans and renders nursing care within an assigned nursing unit. He/she gives direct patient care and maintains clinical records reflecting the patient’s condition, medication, treatment, examination, and progress according to the Delaware Nursing Practice Act and St. Francis Hospital’s policies and procedures.Responsibilities include: Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.Completes a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours.Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.Discusses with and includes patient and/or family, significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same.Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.Instructs and documents patient in follow-up care/ activities in preparation for transfer/discharge.Evaluates the patient's/significant other's understanding of instructions.Qualified candidates will possess the following: Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing highly preferredActive RN Licensure in State of DelawareBLS Certification required; must obtain ACLS within 3 months of hirePrevious med-surg and/or tele experience requiredTrinity Health's Commitment to Diversity and InclusionTrinity Health employs about 133,000 colleagues at dozens of hospitals and hundreds of health centers in 22 states.
