Registered Nurse (PRN) - Operating Room

What You Will Do:

Registered Nurse (PRN) – Operating Room
Supplemental – Day, mid or eve Shift (3 shifts per month plus 1 call)

We are seeking a OR Registered Nurses (PRN) to join our perioperative nursing team at the University of MD Medical Center - Midtown Campus. The role of the circulating is to ensure that the OR is sterile and to help all surgical staff present during the operation.

General OR /Endoscopy

The OR has 7-operating rooms, 1-cysto room, and 2-Endo suites. We perform 90% outpatient surgeries utilizing the services of the University of Maryland Physician and some community physicians. We average 500-cases per month.

We care for Adult/geriatric patients who may have one of the following surgery types:

• ENT
• OMF
• GYN
• Ortho – Total Joint Replacements
• General Surgery
• Vascular Surgeries
• Sport Medicine
• Podiatry

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland.
• BLS certification
• CNOR certifications
• 1-2 years as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse experience preferred.
