Job Summary:

• Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control policies
• Assesses patient’s conditions and nursing needs.
• Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to physicians and record accurately and concisely.
• Identifies patient problems and formulates nursing diagnosis
• Writes initial nursing histories, assesses patients’ conditions and formulates plan of care based on identified nursing diagnoses and patient needs
• Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients in accordance with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior PACU Experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current Georgia RN License; CPR Certification at time of employment or within one month of employment; ACLS certification
• Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational and safety age appropriate needs of the patient populations served within the department.
