Job Summary:
- Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control policies
- Assesses patient’s conditions and nursing needs.
- Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to physicians and record accurately and concisely.
- Identifies patient problems and formulates nursing diagnosis
- Writes initial nursing histories, assesses patients’ conditions and formulates plan of care based on identified nursing diagnoses and patient needs
- Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients in accordance with hospital standards.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior PACU Experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current Georgia RN License; CPR Certification at time of employment or within one month of employment; ACLS certification
- Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational and safety age appropriate needs of the patient populations served within the department.
