Job Description
Registered Nurse
Nursing Department: PACU
Management: No
Schedule: Per Diem 11:00 AM - 19:30 PM
Reports To: PACU Clinical Coordinator, Director
Summary: A Registered Nurse who is capable of providing intensive post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in the immediate post anesthesia period, and transitioning them to Outpatient Surgery, the inpatient setting, or the intensive care setting for continued care. Demonstrates leadership and clinical expertise based on education and experience. Directs and ensures that the patient care is delivered as set forth in PACU Policy and Procedure.
Requirements: Completion of Critical Care Course or Specialized PACU training. Current California RN license. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and PALS are required. CPAN preferred (Desired). Demonstrates professional knowledge and responsibility through a reference from past education and/or job experience. One year of Phase 1 PACU experience or 2 years of critical care experience. **Specialty Pay Available**.
