Registered Nurse - Dialysis
HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is a 423-bed acute care hospital that has been serving the north Houston community for more than 40 years, providing a wide range of medical services including cardiology, maternity care, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, bariatrics and neurology.
HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center. What you would do in this role:
Renal Dialysis Nurse is responsible for planning and providing patient care for the renal dialysis adult patients in accordance with the physician’s orders, hospital policies and procedures, PSHA guidelines, AMI guidelines, JCAHO standards, federal, state, and local regulations.
The Renal Dialysis Nurse is responsible for communicating with the primary nurse prior to, during, and after the dialysis treatment as necessary to assure continuity of patient care.
The Renal Dialysis Nurse is also responsible for acute and chronic treatment modalities as ordered.
The Renal Dialysis Nurse independently performs crucial tasks in assessing, initiating, monitoring, and terminating treatment modalities in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Performs duties independently, in a professional manner, without immediate or continuous supervision.
Qualifications
What qualifications you will need:
One year experience with prior dialysis experience required
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
RN Licensure in state of Texas
American Red Cross or America Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification is required.
